Isabella Dockar lived in Paris for about 22 years. She made the decisions to live abroad and far away from her hometown right after her dad’s death because she wanted to make some money overseas. Bella was a hard worker and unyielding woman, every day she worked really hard to feed her family and to give her family in her hometown the best living accommodations. Her neighbors wondered about her decision to not find a good man to be married and build a house hold because everyone knew that she was already 52 years old. One sunny day, Bella was visited by Chloe, her niece that came far away from New York. Chloe planned to live in Bella’s house for several days because she wanted to enjoy the beauty of Paris and surroundings. Chloe knew that she would like to spend several days in her aunt’s house , so she was going to help Bella to do some stuffs in the like helping Bella to go to the grocery store and buy some groceries. In the first day living in Bella’s house, Chloe nicely took Bella and helped Bella o prepared all the delicious traditional meals at that day, but Chloe did not realized the reason behind the big meals prepared by Bella, a 52 years old woman who lived alone in Paris. On the second day, Chloe took Bella to go to her working place. Chloe was directly introduced to El, Mr. Steward’s son right away after she arrived in her working place. There was nothing wrong with that introduction because Chloe thought that was a common thing happened if Bella directly introduced her to El, because they were met in the same office.
“Hi Bella!” said Mr. Steward to Bella with his sweet smile while staring at Bella and Chloe’s beautiful eyes.
“Oh hi Mr. Steward! You look really happy this morning” said Bella.
Bella was a friendly woman, so most of people would really enjoy a moment every time spent with Bella.
“Who is a girl beside you?” asked Mr. Steward.
“This is my daughter, her name is Chloe” then Bella asked Chloe to shake hand with Me. Steward and Collin. Then with a beautiful smile Chloe greeted them both. Even though that Bella claimed Chloe as her daughter, Mr. Steward understood that Chloe wasn’t her daughter, but her niece. It was true that Bella always claimed every child as her own child. “Hi Chloe!” greeted Mr. Steward and Collin to Chloe. After they knew each other, then they started to begin their own purposes. Later on, in the Bella’s room, Bella told Chloe about the history of Steward’s family. She told Chloe that Mr. Steward was a really nice man, friendly, polite, and really responsible towards his family. He was a really loving guy and gregarious man. Besides, Mr. Steward also a really successful man with his lots of business that he built since years ago. Bella was really excited to meet The Stewards who acquainted with Chloe just then. Bella was also really happy to see and meet Collins, Mr. Steward’s son. Collin was a nice, smart guy and was really polite towards the older people. Bella was really happy having a nice son such Collin.
Chloe that listened all the conversation at that time was really confused about her aunt’s purpose about her statement. Lots of questions popped up in her mind.” Did Mr. Steward don’t have a wife? Did Aunt Bella loves Mr. Steward, or does Aunt Bella wants to arrange her my wedding with Collin?” She just tried to figure it out by herself, nod her head and smiled” for a second she was surprised by her aunt’s because Bella invited her to go to have lunch with The Steward. After finishing the lunch, Bella continued her job and Chloe went to visit some tourism places with her new friend that she just knew through social media.
The trip was began, Chloe really enjoy the vibes and her holiday moment in Paris. “This is the best holiday ever!” murmured Chloe. After visiting some beautiful places, finally she anchored in the Eiffel Tower. Chloe directly took some photos right in the favorite photo spot in the Eiffel Tower, and then went back to Bella’s house. She did not pick Bella up because her aunt was already went home by sing a taxi. When Chloe arrived to Bella’s house, Chloe found Bella was really beautiful and well prepared, then she asked Bella “where are young to go aunt?” then Bella answered “nope, I just finished taking shower” then Chloe was really confused about her aunt. Again and again lots of questions came in her mind like why a beautiful woman like her aunt hasn’t married yet? Bella was 52 years old but she looked like a young and she really maintain her appearance. She was really like to have some workouts in the morning, ate and drank lots of healthy meal, maintained a good sleeping habit, and took care of her skin. So it made her came up her an old woman with a beautiful look. After that, Chloe went to the bathroom. She directly took a shower and prepared herself to have a dinner with Bella. Bella already prepared all Chloe’s favorite dishes. Her favorite dish was Rendang, a typical Indonesian food which made from rich seasoned beef. After finishing their dinner, Bella and Chloe directly going to their own room and took rest. A day after that, Chloe met Mr. Steward in the Bella’s office, but this time, he came by his self, no Collin beside him. The purpose of Mr. Steward, Chloe and Bella was the same. They went to the Bella’s room. After taking Bella to her room and took arrest in her room, Chloe went o her house in hurry because she had the other activities that she already planned before. Chloe wondered about why Mr. Steward still in her aunt’s room. But, that would never prevent her to not to go to her house and left Bella alone with Mr. Steward. The day passed by and Chloe and Bella gathered in the family room while watching the TV. Actually, Chloe dying to ask her aunt about her relationship with Mr. Steward but Chloe imprison her desire because she thought that was impolite if she asked about the private things. So Chloe just continued her activity to watch her favorite serial movie. Suddenly, Bella was surprised by her phone ringing on the couch, in hurry, Bella directly answer the call and she seemed really curious and tried to listen all the conversation between Bella and the human on the phone. Chloe pretended to enjoy the TV serial but actually she was spying Bella’s Conversation. Bella seemed really happy with her phone. From the conversation, she guessed that Bella was called by Steward.
“Kring…Kringg…” (Phone ringing)
“Hi, good evening” said Bella started the conversation.
“Good evening beautiful, what are you doing there?” asked the people on the phone.
“I am watching TV right now with Chloe, but I really miss you and I hope that you will call me” replied Bella with a soft and cute tone.
Chloe heard the conversation with lots of joy because she really wondered about the mysterious man who called her aunt at that night.
“I am watching television with Chloe, but I really missing you and hoping you will call me” replied Bella with soft and adorable tones.
Chloe listened their conversation with full of enthusiasm because curious who was calling her aunt in the mid night.
“I miss you too, honey. But I can’t visit you at this time”
Listened their conversation made Chloe think that was her aunt had a boyfriend? Was that aunt Bella’s boyfriend? She always wondered. Because she didn’t want to interfere too much, Chloe decided to continue watched TV. Two hours later, Bella was done received her call from the caller. And Chloe dare herself to ask Bella.
“Who was calling, aunt?
Aunt Bella looked and smiling to Chloe, said “That was my friend. Why, Chloe?
“Really? Why do you look so enthusiasm and happy” asked Chloe.
Because Chloe looked so curious, Bella said again “Of course I was so happy got a call from my best friend” Listened the answer from Bella, made Chloe think was that really her aunt best friend or Bella keeping a secret about her relationship so that she and all people didn’t know that her aunt had a boyfriend. Chloe about so curious about a person named Steward, if it was true hat Steward was her aunt boyfriend, why her aunt should hided it. Wasn’t the family would happy if aunt Bella had a boyfriend and married? So there someone would take care of aunt Bella.
A week already Chloe spend her time in Paris, tomorrow afternoon she would come back to New York. But before that Bella would invite Chloe to visit Collin house. In the next day, Bella cooked a lot of food and cookies to bring to Collin house. In the early morning, Bella and Chloe already in the Collin house so then Bella, Chloe and steward’s family were gathered and breakfast together. After arriving in Colin house, Bella looked so close with the Steward’s family. It was like Bella were often visited Steward’s family. A few moments later Mr. Steward’s wife appeared excitedly. Mrs. Steward smiled to the guest and treated her guest very well. Chloe felt comfortable being in the Steward’s family. Steward’s family was a family with a lot of warmth, funny and harmonious. That made anyone wanted being in this family. After breakfast together, Bella and Chloe farewell to go home and quickly went to the airport. In the middle of the way, Bella and Chloe talked about steward’s family. She thought her aunt felt in love with Steward’s family. Bella admired their family. After arriving at the airport, Chloe have a farewell with Bella and flew to New York. In New York, she back to her normal routine because her holiday was ended. So was Bella whose did her routine as usual without Chloe. They were still communicated via telephone and missed each other. Once, Bella called Chloe and so Chloe also did.
One day, Bella missed Chloe and send the message to Chloe, “Hi Chloe! What are you doing?” asked Bella to Chloe.
“I’m doing my assignment, what’s wrong?” said Bella. “I miss you, are you okay there? “Asked Bella again.
“Of course, I’m okay, how about you?” Asked Chloe.
“I’m okay here, have you had lunch?” Asked Bella.
“Yeah, already” answered Chloe.
Suddenly Bella called Chloe.
“Hallo” said Chloe.
“Hallo, Chloe, I want to talk to you”
“Sure, what’s wrong?”
“Do you have Collin’s phone number? Don’t you want to call him? Asked Bella to Chloe.
“Nope, I don’t make friends with him, just greeted him when I met him” said Chloe.
“I think he is kind and polite. He is smart and he is well achievement guy, his future is great and looks like he wants to get close with you, don’t you think so?” said Bella.
“What do you mean?” asked Chloe to Bella.
“Make friends to him” said Bella.
“I don’t want to get close with anyone for this moment” said Chloe.
Chloe wondered about Bella’s attitude who always asked her to get close with Collin even with Steward’s family. Even though Chloe didn’t want to get close with anyone, she thought that she still wanted to be single, she enjoyed with her loneliness. After the call was ended, Chloe hang up the phone. After long time no see, finally Chloe meet with Collin and Mr. Steward’s family in New York. Apparently, Steward’s family was in a holiday in New York and Chloe was asked to visit them in one place. At that place, Chloe and Steward’s family seems intimate. They spend time together day long. In the next day, the situation back to the normal as usual. The Steward’s family back to the Paris, and so Chloe did her routine as usual. Even Chloe was really believed that aunt Bella and Mr. Steward’s family were a good friend.
But, a month ago, Chloe was called by Bella. Such a long time no preach, Bella called Chloe again and told a sad story that she had experience lately. Bella told a story with full of sadness.
“Good evening, Chloe” said Bella.
“Good evening, what’s wrong aunty?”
“I want to tell you what I have experienced with Steward’s family. Do you know Mrs. Steward? She accused me that I cheat with her husband” said Bella.
“You mean that she accused you cheats with Mr. Steward?” asked me.
“Yes, she accessed me, but suddenly she called me last evening and cursed me”
“Then?” I asked her again.
“I think that she was really unreasonable, she looked for me in my house and accused me until all the neighbors came out to see the fight” said Bella.
Then Chloe asked slowly and patiently in order to calm her aunt. “Are you sure that this is just misunderstanding? And do are you already honest with yourself?”
“Sure, this is just misunderstanding, I never have intention to mess someone’s life. I am just Mr. Steward’s friend. So if his wife accused me for that, I just smile and surrender. I already explained, and I don’t know whether she believed it or not”
Then, the telephone finally was unconnected. Chloe couldn’t hear Bella’s voice anymore.
